Sustainable development is the new buzz word. What does it really mean and why is it important? Ed McMahon, Urban Land Institute's (ULI's) Senior Resident Fellow for Sustainable Development and Environmental Policy, discusses how sustainability makes good business sense in the context of climate change, high energy costs, and unsustainable land use practices. He looks forward to your questions following his presentation.

Each attendee will also receive a copy of Ten Principles of Coastal Development, a new ULI publication addressing the issues of sustainability, enhancing value through conservation, public access vs. private property and other timely topics for our region.
