Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez will be the guest speaker at the Tuesday Morning Breakfast Club - Tuesday, April 29, 8:30 - 10:00 AM, David's Cafe II, 1654 Meridian Ave., Miami Beach.
Current issues of great interest sure to be addressed are the "Mega-Plan" and the recent county commission approval of development outside of the Urban Development Boundary. Mayor Alvarez supports the first and opposes the second.

The recent referendum changing the county’’s Property Tax Appraiser from an appointed position to an elected position has brought out two candidates: former DEA agent Jim Shedd, and former County Commissioner and current State Senator, Gwen Margolis. Jim Shedd will be the guest this week, followed by Senator Gwen Margolis next week.
